Job summary

BayCare is seeking an RN for the CVOR Pool at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. The role requires at least 18 months OR experience with CVOR experience strongly preferred, and a minimum commitment of 48 hours per six-week schedule plus Call.

Location is St. Joseph's Hospital, 3001 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33677. Shift is 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, pool, with On Call required.

Qualifications

• RN must hold a current Nursing license (RN) and BLS certificate.
• ACLS certification (Cardiovascular) if department requires it.
• Minimum 18 months operating room experience; CVOR experience strongly preferred.
• 2+ years RN experience with OR exposure as a baseline requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for a sub-specialty patient group using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members.
• Maintain professional accountability and development per best practice standards by a recognized specialty organization.
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Summary:

The Operating Room Pool RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 18 months of Operating Room experience as an RN is required. CVOR experience is strongly preferred. This position is set at St. Joseph's Hospital and requires a minimum commitment of 48 hours per six-week schedule plus Call.
