Job summary

Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents.

As an RN, you will lead a fully staffed team of CNAs, administer medications, and ensure care plans are followed. The role demands strong leadership, professional communication, and compassionate teamwork in a fast-paced acute/rehab setting.

Qualifications

• RN license in New York required.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care preferred.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Empathetic, professional, and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians using the five rights system.
• Supervise, direct, and support CNAs in their daily duties.
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to the Unit Manager or Nurse Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with residents’ individualized care plans.
• Handle and document all aspects of controlled substances and medication storage.
• Accurately chart in Nursing Notes, MARs, Treatment Records, and Care Plans.

Your Role as an RN:

As an RN at Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center, you'll take the lead in delivering top-tier care while supporting and guiding a fully staffed team of CNAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians using the “five rights” system
