Job summary

Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center in New York is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team and lead a compassionate care staff in delivering high-quality geriatric care.

You will administer medications and treatments, supervise CNAs, monitor resident conditions, and ensure adherence to individualized care plans within a rehabilitation and long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians using the “five rights” system
• Supervise, direct, and support CNAs in their daily duties
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to the Unit Manager or Nurse Supervisor
• Ensure compliance with residents’ individualized care plans
• Handle and document all aspects of controlled substances and medication storage
• Accurately chart in Nursing Notes, MARs, Treatment Records, and Care Plans

Your Role as an RN:

As an RN at Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center, you'll take the lead in delivering top-tier care while supporting and guiding a fully staffed team of CNAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians using the “five rights” system

• Supervise, direct, and support CNAs in their daily duties

• Monitor and report any changes in resident conditions to the Unit Manager or Nurse Supervisor

• Ensure compliance with residents’ individualized care plans
