Job summary

Lockport Rehab & Health Care Center in New York is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to lead patient care for our 82 residents. You’ll administer medications, supervise CNAs, and coordinate with the care team to maintain high standards.

The role requires an NY RN license, strong communication, and a team-oriented, compassionate approach in a fast-paced acute/long-term facility. We offer higher starting pay, flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Empathetic, professional, and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders using the five rights system.
• Supervise, direct, and support CNAs in daily duties.
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to the Unit Manager or Nurse Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with residents' individualized care plans.
• Handle and document all aspects of controlled substances and medication storage.
• Accurately chart in Nursing Notes, MARs, Treatment Records, and Care Plans.

Your Role as an RN:

As an RN at Lockport Rehab & Health Care Center, you'll take the lead in delivering top-tier care while supporting and guiding a fully staffed team of CNAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians using the “five rights” system

• Supervise, direct, and support CNAs in their daily duties

• Monitor and report any changes in resident conditions to the Unit Manager or Nurse Supervisor

• Ensure compliance with residents’ individualized care plans

• Handle and document all aspects of controlled substances and medication storage

• Accurately chart in Nursing Notes, MARs, Treatment Records, and Care Plans
