Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse for a Health Services quality improvement role in California. This position emphasizes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in alignment with federal, state and local standards.

You will collaborate with the health care team, analyze performance data and lead quality control programs while enjoying a full benefits package and competitive wages.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN license in the state.
• Two years of direct work experience preferred.
• US citizenship or lawful permanent resident status.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and infection control standards.
• Ability to perform nursing assessments and provide treatment per approved protocols.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inquiries by outside agencies during audits or reviews.
• Develop processes and procedures to ensure quality patient services and compliance with professional standards.
• Coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Analyze and monitor performance data to identify trends, reduce costs and improve patient services.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, determine root causes, implement changes and measure impact.
• Identify and resolve areas of non-compliance and integrate standards into processes.
• Document and report improvement activities internally and externally as appropriate.
• Review or evaluate services and charges for health care providers.
• Apply and use performance tools in support of the improvement process and plan quality control programs.
• Provide recommendations and reports to management concerning quality control programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
