GEO provides correctional and community reentry services and seeks an RN for quality control in Health Services. The role focuses on improving patient care processes, coordinating with care teams, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Ideal candidates have nursing licensure in Michigan, 2+ years of experience, and strong analytical and communication skills to support audits, documentation, and performance improvement initiatives across the facility.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an approved program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Michigan.
• Two years of direct nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and infection control standards.
• Competence in crisis intervention, medical and psychiatric nursing care.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow approved protocols.
• Proficiency with computers and standard healthcare software.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inquiries by outside agencies during audits or reviews.
• Develop processes and procedures to ensure quality patient services and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with health care team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and improve services while reducing costs.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, analyze root causes, implement changes and measure impact.
• Resolve areas of non-compliance and integrate standards into processes.
• Measure and report the impact of improvement initiatives.
• Document and report improvement activities internally and externally as appropriate.
• Review services and charges for health care providers or facilities.
• Apply performance tools (cause-effect diagrams, flow charts, brainstorming) for problem solving.
• Plan and organize quality control programs and activities.
• Provide recommendations to management on quality control processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
