Job summary

SCA Health in Forney, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp/PACU to support perioperative care across our ambulatory surgery network. Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and PALS if pediatric care is included.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment or current certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and manage airway needs.
• Apply perianesthesia plan of care and discharge criteria.
• Develop and implement individualized perioperative care plans.
• Provide hand-off reports to the care team and document nursing care accurately.
• Participate in quality improvement and ensure patient safety throughout perioperative care.
