Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Raleigh, NC, seeks an experienced RN to serve as an RN Preceptor in our home health program. The role blends direct patient care with mentoring newly hired clinicians, with a reduced patient caseload to allow focused teaching.

Responsibilities include guiding orientation, delivering hands-on training, and maintaining compliant documentation. Requires NC RN license and home health experience; travel to cases in Wake, Durham, and Johnston counties may be needed.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license.
• Prior home health experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Ability to travel to cases.
• Strong interpersonal and independent work abilities.
• Experience mentoring or teaching is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship, training, and clinical support to newly hired RNs during orientation.
• Accompany new nurses on home visits, modeling best practices and ensuring competency.
• Maintain a small, manageable patient caseload.
• Complete accurate documentation per agency and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to evaluate progress and provide feedback.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for quality patient outcomes and service.
