Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pre-Admission department to ensure patients are fully prepared for upcoming procedures. You will assess medical histories, health status, and needs prior to admission and collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and care teams to gather documentation and provide education.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 2 years Med/Surg/Pre-Admission Outpatient Surgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical assessments and review lab results.
• Obtain patient consent forms and educate on procedures.
• Identify risks and ensure pre-admission requirements are met.
• Coordinate with physicians, anesthesiologists and care teams.
