Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support perioperative care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will evaluate patients pre- and post-surgery, educate families, and ensure safe preparation and site verification for procedures.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, apply nursing processes with critical thinking, and document changes diligently while maintaining high standards of patient safety and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse with active state licensure.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• Associate degree in nursing or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and educate families about procedures.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification.
• Participate in universal protocols and time-out processes for safety.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and deliver evidence-based perioperative care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and techs in a dynamic team.
• Document patient condition and care provided accurately throughout shift.
