Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Services West Michigan Float Pool in Grand Rapids. This full-time position supports the staff nurse role on an assignment basis within the unit, with flexibility to travel to different locations as needed.

The role requires a Michigan RN license on hire, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, along with an associate degree in nursing and a bachelor’s degree within five years. PACU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Competency-based orientation program required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) State of Michigan upon hire required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
• ACLS (Cardiovascular Life Support) within 180 days.
• PALS within 180 days.
• 2+ years PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care per ANA standards and Michigan regulations.
• Applies the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Upholds ANA standards including ethics, communication, leadership and evidence-based practice.
• Float Pool team members may travel to various locations and regions.
