Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts is seeking a compassionate Per Diem Registered Nurse to support the BirthPlace and Nursery teams. You will assess patients, plan and supervise care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff to ensure safe, family-centered maternity care.

This role requires a graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a current RN license in Massachusetts. BSN is preferred, and postpartum/mother-baby experience is required to deliver high-quality education and

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assess physical, mental, and psychological status of patient using age-appropriate knowledge.
• Plans, evaluates, and supervises care of all patients assigned.
• Works collaboratively with other disciplines in care of patients.
• Participates in formal and informal educational programs to improve technical skills.
• Responsible for continued learning and application to practice.
• Synthesizes patient care information to formulate appropriate nursing diagnosis.
• Responsible to provide patient and family education.
• Work practice reflects philosophy purpose and policies of the hospital department.
• Assesses and directs care for all breastfeeding women on the BirthPlace and in the Nursery.
• Acts as a liaison for staff in the hospital for women who are breastfeeding.

Education/Experience Required

• Graduate - approved School of Nursing
• B.S.N. preferred
• Postpartum / Mother Baby experience required

Pay Range:

$37.14 - $76.08

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geographyof work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
