Beth Israel Lahey Health - Birthplace is a 12-bed unit providing labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care with a dedicated team of obstetricians, CNMs, pediatricians, neonatologists and RNs. The RN must demonstrate competency across labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care, including advanced fetal monitoring and newborn care.

Required credentials include MA RN license, L&D and Mother/Baby experience, BLS/ACLS on hire, NRP on hire, and AWHONN EFM education.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license is required.
• Labor and Delivery experience required.
• Mother/Baby experience required.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire.
• NRP required upon hire.
• Evidence of recent AWHONN EFM continuing education required upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide competent nursing care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn periods.
• Perform advanced fetal monitoring and breastfeeding education.
• Ensure neonatal resuscitation readiness and participate in OR scrub and circulating roles as needed.

Job Description:

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

The Birthplace is a 12-bed, private room, labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum unit that includes a nursery staffed by obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians, neonatologists and registered nurses. The Unit also has a 2 bed triage and 6 bed postpartum area. Registered nurses are required to demonstrate competent care of the patient in labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn advanced fetal monitoring, breastfeeding education, neonatal resuscitation certification, advanced life support certification, and the OR scrub and circulating roles.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Massachusetts RN license
• Labor and Delivery experience required
• Mother/Baby experience required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire
• NRP required upon hire
• Evidence of recent AWHONN EFM continuing education required upon hire

Recommended Requirements:

• OR Circulating & Scrub experience preferred
• Experience working in continuing care/special care nursery/NICU environment preferred
• Willingness to cross-train in continuing care/special care nursery/NICU environment required

Pay Range:

$37.14 - $82.22

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
