Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Acute Nursing (Skilled Nursing) Unit. This full-time role offers a $15,000 commitment bonus with a two-year commitment and rotating weekends.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), possess an active Kentucky license, and maintain BCLS (ACLS preferred for Charge RN).

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active Kentucky license (or compact) required.
• Current RN license to practice in Kentucky.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS preferred if working in Charge RN position.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Meet standards of care and practice ethically and professionally.
• Assess, plan, and document patient education needs.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate unit duties.
• Document care plans, progress notes, and patient responses.
• Assist physician with bedside procedures.
