Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist in Salisbury, MD to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings, under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires valid nursing licensure and current CPR/AED certification, with at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• State nursing license (RN, EMT, or LPN/LVN) and CPR/AED certification.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Experience interpreting lab results and donor medical history.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and obtain informed consent per SOPs.
• Review lab test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Support vaccination programs and respond to donor adverse events per guidance.
• Coordinate with Center Manager and Center Physician on medical issues.
