Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Newark, DE. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review SPE results, and notify donors of unsuitable results.

You will work under the Center Manager for operations and under the Center Physician for medical issues. Required credentials include EMT variants, LPN/LVN or RN licensure, CPR/AED, and two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I or EMT-P licensure in the operating state.
• Current LPN/LVN or RN licensure in the responsible state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Complete FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist and have 2 years clinical/hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review laboratory results and notify donors of unsuitable tests.
• Provide center level support on environmental, health and safety issues.
