Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit.

Unit Information
  • Beds: 24; average patient census 21-23
  • Required Experience: 2 years of strong high acuity Pediatric ICU experience - must be comfortable in a high acuity, fast-paced environment
  • First-time travelers accepted

  • CNA - 1 Health Care Tech per day to support unit secretary duties and nursing support needs throughout the shift (runners, bathing, etc.)

Floating
  • Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, General Pediatrics - will float as needed
Orientation (Facility and Unit)
  • NEO
  • 2 days departmental
Scheduling
  • Weekend rotation: Required to work 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays, and 2 Mondays every 6-week schedule
  • The combination of these 8 shifts can be grouped together or worked separately as long as all occur within the 6-week period
  • No call for travelers; if PICU cannot utilize them, they may be floated to PCVICU, Pediatric Progressive Care, NICU, or general Pediatrics units
  • Holiday expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays; unit requirement is the eve and day of every other holiday while contracted
  • Return to Office (RTO): Manager approval required
  • Shift times: 06:45 - 19:15, 18:45 - 07:15
  • Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
