Job summary

Jersey College in Scranton, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse Instructor for Pharmacology sessions (Tue 11:30 AM–1:00 PM, Thu 11:30 AM–1:00 PM) and a Pharmacology Workshop (Thu 1:00–2:30 PM), totaling 4.5 hours. The role delivers high-quality classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, maintains an active RN license, and brings 3+ years of RN experience with a passion for nursing education and student success.

Qualifications

• Requires MSN or higher nursing degree and active RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum 3 years of recent professional RN experience in clinical settings.
• Experience teaching LPN/PN and RN students is preferred.
• Experience with clinical evaluation and competency-based education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence according to program standards.
• Prepare accurate progress and grade reports and maintain attendance records.
• Attend faculty meetings, trainings, and campus events as required.
• Collaborate with faculty, clinical partners, and administration to support student success.
