Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN - Perioperative for a 13-week assignment in a perioperative unit in Louisville area. The role emphasizes safe, patient- and family-centered care within a fast-paced surgical environment.

Requires a minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience, active RN license, and BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications. Must have pre/post-operative experience. Shift is days, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with a focus on assessment, care planning, and education.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions
  • Leads, mentors, and precepts staff; participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives; complies with regulatory standards

Description:A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients.The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.The RN is responsible for maintaining a financially stable unit.The RN promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.The RN has the responsibility to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction.The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff.

Job Responsibilities:Assessment: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition.Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions.

Development & Implementation: Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care.Reviews and revises the plan as indicated.Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services.Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family.

Evaluation: Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions.

Education: Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs and as appropriate to the care and services provided during their stay and at discharge.

Leadership: Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel.Functions as a mentor/preceptor.Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork.Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement.Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts and implements practice changes.Complies with regulatory standards.Participates in the Practice Governance model.
