Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for the PACU in California. This 13-week contract covers pre/post-operative care with day shifts, 8 hours per shift, starting between 06:00 and 08:30. A valid state RN license is required; ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory.

At least 1 year of PACU experience is expected, with flexibility to stay through the end of the shift. Responsibilities include postoperative recovery, pain management, and occasional float to nearby facilities as needed.

Description:This role involves pre/post-operative care in a PACU setting.Start times vary between 06:00 and 08:30, requiring flexibility.Nurses are expected to remain through the end of their scheduled shifts.Experience with outpatient surgery is preferred.Ratios are mainly based on the department's needs.Candidates should possess skills in critical care, pain management, and sedation monitoring.The patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.The daily census is approximately 10 patients.Procedures include outpatient surgeries across various specialties.Attendance during three of five designated holidays is required.References are mandatory prior to the start date.Candidates may be required to float to nearby facilities if necessary.Communication devices may be provided for work purposes as needed.
