Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Evanston, IL to ensure quality care through assessment, care planning and daily resident evaluation. The role includes direct patient care and supervision of LPNs and CNAs in a faith-based, supportive community setting.

The ideal candidate holds an approved nursing degree, an active Illinois RN license, and at least one year of nursing experience, with strong communication and compassionate care for older adults.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the state.
• At least one year nursing experience.
• Strong communication skills and compassion for seniors.
• Willingness to work beyond hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction and monitor the work of LPNs and nursing assistants.
• Assist in orientation and reinforce training standards.
• Motivate LPNs and CNAs on the unit.
• Explain nursing procedures and training to staff.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments and concerns.
• Observe residents' health and report significant changes to appropriate staff. Notify physician and family as required.
