Job summary

Covenant Living Evanston is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (Per Diem) to provide compassionate resident care in our community. The role reports to the nurse manager and supports licensed nurses as needed, performing daily care tasks, activities assistance, light housekeeping, and dining services in a faith-based environment.

This per diem position requires completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program and current listing on the State Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Completion and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State is required.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis under supervision.
• Reports to the nurse manager and may take direction from licensed nurses.
• Assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Assists with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, transportation, and related tasks.
• Maintains clean and orderly resident rooms and assists with linen changes and clothing management.
• May be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
