Covenant Living Communities & Services, Inc. in Evanston, IL is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department and shape resident care across our campus.

The role requires strategic oversight, staff development and collaboration with medical leadership to ensure high-quality outcomes for residents. The ideal candidate holds a BSN (or higher), current RN license in Illinois, and at least four years of leadership experience in acute, sub-acute or long-term care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
• Minimum 4 years in a leadership role in acute, sub-acute or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Develop, direct, implement, oversee and delegate nursing department functions.
• Develop, direct, implement, oversee, define and delegate resident care.
• Develop, direct, implement, oversee, define and delegate survey management.
• Recruit, hire and manage nursing staff.
• Participate in development, implementation and monitoring of the nursing services operating plan/budget.
• Coordinate with other departments and third-party reimbursement staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Consult with Medical Director regularly (minimum monthly).
• Monitor purchasing and availability of supplies/equipment.
• Represent the campus in professional and community activities.
