Medasource is seeking a Registered Nurse to support a unit in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include direct patient care, monitoring, and collaboration with the healthcare team on a fast-paced medical/surgical unit. The role requires BLS and PALS certifications and familiarity with the Meditech EMR system.

A 4-weekend rotation is included with no on-call requirements. Candidates must be flexible, able to work 12-hour shifts, and contribute to a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient

• Number of Staff – dependent on acuity and census
• Type of staff:
• o Day Shift – cnc / 4-6 nurses prefer cnc free, unit secretary,
• o Night Shift – cnc / 4-6 nurses prefer cnc free,
• Patient Ratios – med/surg 4/1,
• Type of equipment –
• EMR – meditech

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Cleft palate repair, appy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures,
• Seizure management, noninvasive cardiology only, no neurosurgery or stroke, no removal foreign body from airway
• Currently have services for neuro, ortho, gen surg, thoracic cases such as thoracotomy/thoracoscopy, pectus bar implants.
