Job summary

UW Health's American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Ambulatory Float, Peds to join a world-class team of doctors, nurses and health care professionals.

This role involves phone triage, in-basket management, patient education and direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team, with 90% FTE, Monday–Friday and no weekends or holidays; hours may vary by department needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • 6 months of RN experience required.
  • CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with phone triage, in-basket management, patient education and direct patient care.
  • Be an active member of the highly collaborative interdisciplinary team.
  • Care for patients and families of varied populations and locations.
  • Utilize critical thinking in triaging phone calls.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • Relevant RN experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • Applicable clinical certification Preferred
