University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority seeks an RN at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. The role includes teamwork with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic pediatric care, including technology-dependent children and complex conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Six months nursing experience in inpatient units or relevant UW Health programs.
• Current RN license in WI or compact state; CPR/BLS and PALS within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate holistic plan of care with multidisciplinary team.
• Care for pediatric patients dependent on technology (ventilators, home dialysis, tracheostomies).
• Care for patients with nephrology conditions, new diabetes diagnoses, epilepsy, and scoliosis.

Job description

90% FTE, three - 12 hour evening/night shifts including every other weekend and a holiday rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at the American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

Pay:

• Shift Differentials: $4/hour evening and $5/hour night as applicable for hours worked.
• Weekend Differential: $4.25/hour as applicable for hours worked.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate a holistic plan of care for the patient and family.
• Care for children dependent on technology such as home ventilators and home dialysis as well as children dependent on tracheostomies.
• You will also care for patients with acute and chronic nephrology diseases, new diagnosis of type 1 diabetes, epilepsy and idiopathic/non-idiopathic scoliosis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

• Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Require
• Relevant RN experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
• Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
• PALS within 12 months Required
• Relevant certification Preferred
