Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our 22-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry. The night shift (7p-7a) offers 3x12s with weekends and holidays required.

Join a team that uses advanced cardiac monitoring to deliver high-quality patient care to respiratory and cardiac patients. We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new grad RNs and $20,000 for night-shift experienced RNs with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required; if relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
