Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PCU/Telemetry unit on the night shift. You will work a 3x12 schedule (7p–7a) in a 22-bed unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, delivering high-quality care in a stimulating, monitoring-intensive environment.

This role requires an active NC or compact RN license, an Associate's degree, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within specified timelines; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina or compact RN license and an associate's degree in nursing.
• AHA Basic Life Support within 30 days; ACLS & PALS within 6 months.
• 1 year of experience is preferred; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and identifies needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Delivers care aligned with patient condition and age.
• Completes timely documentation in the medical record.
• Maintains interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
• Conducts timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.
