Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 22-bed PCU/Telemetry unit on a 3x12 night shift (7p-7a). Weekends and holidays required.

Sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for new grads and $20,000 for night-shift experienced RNs with a 2-year commitment are available. Join a team that uses advanced cardiac monitoring to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
