Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for a 14-week PCU assignment in Omaha, NE. This fast-paced unit cares for adults and geriatric patients, with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and EEG monitoring.
Responsibilities include titrating drips, charting in EPIC, and collaborating with the charge nurse. There may be floating to other floors; on-call is not required, and onboarding starts with orientation.

Description:This position is for a fast-paced PCU unit.RN's will typically care for adults and geriatric patients.Common diagnoses include cardiac conditions, nephrology, strokes, diabetes, and patients requiring continuous EEG monitoring.RN's are required to titrate drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications.There will be a charge nurse on each shift.The charge nurse will take an assignment.Patient care techs or nurse aids are available on the unit.Ratios for techs are typically 1:10 or 2:20.Shift hours are from 0630 to 1900 and 1830 to 0700.Weekend requirements are every other weekend.Holiday requirements are every third holiday.There is no call or standby requirement for this position.Floating may be required to medical floors, ICU, or rehab facilities.The first week will involve onboarding followed by 1-2 days of floor-specific orientation.Successful candidates will possess a positive attitude, good communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and effective problem-solving skills.RTO must be provided up front, with a limit of 7 or fewer days per contract.Additional RTO requests will not be approved.The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.Charting is conducted using the EPIC system.This is an acute care setting with trauma level 2.
