Cynet HealthStaff seeks an RN for a 13-week PCU assignment in Prescott, AZ. Requires 2+ years clinical, 1+ year PCU, RN license, BLS and ACLS. Must be able to titrate drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin) and pass a dysrhythmia exam.

Shifts are 12 hours (days) with weekend requirements; nurse/patient ratios are 1:4 in PCU and 1:5–6 in Tele. Role uses telemetry, CPAP/BiPAP, and nurse aides assist; orientation covers hospital and unit training.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in a clinical setting with at least 1 year in a PCU.
  • RN license required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Ability to titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin.
  • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% on two attempts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage post-MI and post-Cath patients, and CABG post-op care.
  • Read telemetry strips and monitor patient data.
  • Participate in holiday staffing rotations for travelers.

Description:

The clinician must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to contract signing.

If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be disqualified from consideration for six months.

The nurse-to-patient ratios in the stepdown unit are 1:4 and 1:5-6 in MedSurg Tele.

Common diagnoses include geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, and post-procedural patients.

The role involves managing post-myocardial infarction and post-cardiac catheterization patients, as well as CABG post-operative care.

Charge nurses will not take patient assignments.

Nurse aides will be utilized in all settings to assist with care.

The department uses respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP and BiPAP.

Registered Nurses will read telemetry strips as monitor techs monitor patient data.

Scheduling is managed by the staffing office with advanced notice provided to staff.

Travelers will have weekend requirements every other week and will be included in holiday staffing rotations.

Units are assigned 2 hours prior to the start of each shift.

Scrub colors include solid professional scrubs with a shift to navy scrubs in October.

Orientation will include general hospital information and unit-specific training.
