Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN for a 13-week PCU/Stepdown assignment in a 20-bed unit. The RN will work 12-hour nights and titrate drips, reading cardiac strips and monitoring telemetry.
The role requires at least three years of RN experience, active license, and BLS/ACLS certification. EPIC charting is used; weekend rotations and specific unit policies apply.

Description:Unit consists of 20 beds.Staffing ratios are 1:3 in stepdown and 1:5-6 on the floor.Common diagnoses include respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, and chest pain.Registered Nurses will be required to titrate drips.Common titratable and/or set rate drips include heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone.Charge Nurse and House Supervisor are present on the unit.There are nurse aides on this unit, with 2 per shift.Respiratory therapy equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices.Telemetry is available in the unit, with monitoring performed by dedicated staff.Registered Nurses are responsible for reading cardiac strips.Schedules include three weekend shifts every four weeks.Holiday rotations will be required between evening and day shifts.There is no call or standby requirement.Scrub color is royal blue.Unit-specific orientation will be conducted.Cancellation policy allows for the client to cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for shorter assignments.Charting system used is EPIC.
