Description:This position is for a registered nurse in a progressive care unit.The unit has a total of 18 beds and approximately 60 staff members.The day shift consists of 5 registered nurses and 2 patient care technicians, while the night shift has 4 registered nurses and 2 patient care technicians.Patient ratios are maintained at 4 patients per registered nurse.Common procedures performed on this unit include post-cath lab care and drip titrations.The unit is equipped with devices such as EKG machines, BiPAP equipment, Welch Allen vital signs monitors, and Alaris IV pumps.The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.Staff attire requires grey scrubs, and hoodies are not allowed.Recognition awards are given for quality, including an employee of the month and the Daisy Award.Weekends may require availability for 2 to 3 shifts every four weeks.No on-call requirements are needed for this position.
