Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Intermediate Care (PCU) unit for a 13-week contract. This night shift runs from 18:45 to 07:15, with patient ratios typically 1:4 in PCU and potential float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units.

Candidates must hold an active nursing license, have 2 years of recent experience, ACLS and BLS, and pass an EKG rhythm interpretation exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms.

Qualifications

• PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience preferred; travel assignment completed.
• Every other weekend coverage and floating to Telemetry/Medical-Surgical units as needed.

Description:Looking for a Registered Nurse to join the Intermediate Care unit.This position is for night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.The nurse will provide care for patients with a variety of diagnoses.Patient ratios will typically be 1:4 in the Intermediate Care unit.Ratios may differ when floated to other units, such as Telemetry or Medical Surgical.Candidates must have experience in managing BiPAP/CPAP, central lines, chest tubes, and various cardiac protocols.Experience with hemodialysis management, IV insulin protocols, and oxygen administration is required.Nurses will work closely with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy and Social Services.Special procedures may include PCA infusions and bedside monitoring.Strong critical thinking and assessment skills are essential for success in this role.The unit requires flexibility to meet operational needs, including weekend shifts and potential floating.
