Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN for the PCU in Houston, TX for a 6-week assignment on 12-hour night shifts. The role involves caring for CV PCU step-down patients, including those on ventilators and complex needs.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of RN experience, an active RN license, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and flexibility to float between units. EPIC charting experience is preferred and training is provided.

Description:Daily responsibilities include managing patients on drips such as insulin and anti-coagulation.Ability to care for patients with complex needs, including those with ventilators, who are bedbound, and those experiencing long wait times for discharge.Familiarity with caring for patients with specific infections and complications, including LVAD patients.Patients are expected to be awake and alert, requiring frequent attention for pain management and other needs.Nurses must exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio.Previous travel experience and familiarity with EPIC charting system are advantageous.Successful candidates will have demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in their previous roles.This role may require adjusting priorities and managing multiple patients simultaneously.Training will be provided as needed for specific technologies and patient care strategies.
