Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a 46-bed unit in McKinney, TX. The role is a 13-week assignment on the night shift, with 12-hour shifts and patient ratios typically 1:4 to 1:5. You will manage drips and participate in critical care monitoring using Meditech EMR.

Qualifications include an active RN license and at least 1 year of PCU experience; NIH Stroke Scale and ACLS certifications are preferred. Weekend coverage is required.

Description:This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit.The unit features a total of 46 beds, including 16 private and 15 semi-private rooms.The average census for the unit is 34 patients.There are a total of 74 staff members working in the unit.The nursing staff includes 1 charge nurse, 9 nurses, and 4 techs during both day and night shifts.Patient ratios are 1:4, with a maximum of 1:5.The unit is equipped with IV pumps, a Sara Stedy lift, Roving B450 monitors, and remote telemetry.The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.Preferred qualifications include more than one year of PCU experience and familiarity with Meditech.Typical procedures performed in the unit include Bipap and Hi Flow oxygen.The ideal candidate should possess a strong sense of teamwork.Weekend shifts are required, with 2 shifts per pay period.
