Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a 13-week contract. The role involves caring for acute post-operative patients and telemetry monitoring, with responsibilities including titratable and non-titratable drips and coordinating with the care team.

Shifts available are 3x12-hour blocks, night and day, with every-other weekend required. Candidates must have at least 2 years in PCU/Stepdown, an active PA or compact nursing license, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit or Stepdown setting.
• Current PA or compact nursing license.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:30 - 19:30) shifts are available. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide care for acute post-operative patients and those requiring telemetry monitoring. This role involves managing patients with titratable and non-titratable drips while ensuring high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage medications, including blood products and IV drips.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to telemetry alerts.
• Implement care plans and provide education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform essential procedures including accessing/managing ports and tracheostomy care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
