Truman Medical Center is seeking a Patient Placement/Staffing Office Manager RN for the Nursing Admin team. This part-time role oversees patient throughput across UH Lakewood, coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers while ensuring nursing staffing aligns with each shift.

The position requires a BSN and RN licensure with 2+ years in acute care, plus strong leadership and communication skills to drive interdisciplinary teamwork and efficiency in patient movement.

Qualifications

• BSN and active RN licensure.
• 2+ years of experience in acute care nursing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proven record of excellence in interdisciplinary teamwork and customer service.
• Skilled in electronic communication, multitasking, and strategic thinking.
• Deep knowledge of UH’s patient care resources.
• Experience in utilization management and patient throughput.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee patient throughput to ensure timely, appropriate placement and discharge.
• Lead and optimize hospital-wide bed management meetings.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (nursing, admissions, finance, IT, etc.) to drive collaboration and remove bottlenecks.
• Monitor and interpret system data and trends to anticipate and resolve patient flow barriers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, policy adherence, and uphold high standards of patient-centered care.
• Utilize technology platforms and data systems to inform decisions and produce actionable reports.
• Support financial stewardship through efficient resource utilization.
