Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Transfer Center to coordinate patient throughput from all entry points and facilitate hospital-wide patient flow in collaboration with medical staff and the interdisciplinary team.

The role monitors bed capacity, communicates action plans, and analyzes data to improve efficiency while complying with SGMC Health policies and delivering high-quality care on the main campus.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with the State of Georgia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient throughput from all entry points to facilitate hospital patient flow.
• Receive communications related to beds for appropriate clinical placement.
• Monitor bed capacity and communicate action plans for patient movement.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and other facilities to remove barriers to patient flow.
• Collect and analyze data related to patient flow and report findings.
