Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a Patient Placement Coordinator RN with 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience to coordinate direct admissions, transfers, and bed capacity across the hospital.

You will collaborate with nursing and clinical operations to facilitate patient flow and ensure timely admissions while providing excellent family-centered communication. Both day and night shifts are available in full-time and part-time roles.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience.
• Strong communication and educational skills for families and providers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all admissions and transfers to Phoenix Children's.
• Manage bed board and bed capacity with timely escalation as needed.
• Assist in directing patient/physician to appropriate resources and maintain patient flow.
• Communicate with nursing and clinical operations to ensure smooth admissions and throughput.
• Provide role modeling for Family Centered Care and customer service.
• Participate in department process improvements and miscellaneous duties.
