Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Placement Coordinator to be the frontline liaison for families and providers. The role requires an RN license, 2–3 years of ER experience, and the ability to coordinate direct admissions and transfers with internal departments.

We have both full-time and part-time positions, days and nights, and a strong emphasis on Family Centered Care and customer service. Prior pediatric RN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years clinical RN experience.
• Pediatric experience required.
• Current State RN license in Arizona or compact state with multistate privileges.
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all transfers and direct admissions with providers.
• Manage bed board and throughput to optimize patient flow.
• Escalate bed placement and capacity issues to leadership in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with admitting, EVS, case management to ensure timely admissions and positive patient family experience.
