Job summary

The RN Patient Flow Coordinator at UC Health in Cincinnati oversees bed placement and transfer coordination to optimize patient movement across facilities.

Qualifications

• Education: ASN required; BSN preferred; Nursing license required.
• Experience: Clinical proficiency in relevant area; charge nurse experience preferred.
• Transfer Center and/or patient flow experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bed Board: assist in placement of patients across UC Health facilities; prioritize bed placement; coordinate transfers and admissions; maintain patient flow efficiency.
• Transfer Center: triage transfers based on need and level of care; coordinate outside transfers and direct admits; ensure accurate documentation.
• Other duties: understand unit and hospital policies; support problem solving and staff development; maintain communication across departments.
