Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an RN Patient Flow Coordinator to oversee patient transfers and bed planning across the health system, ensuring timely placements and efficient throughput. You will act as a liaison between referring facilities, hospitals, and clinical staff, applying clinical judgment to optimize patient flow.

The role requires 3 years of inpatient nursing or related experience, active Louisiana RN license, and strong communication skills to support hospital-wide capacity goals.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana with BLS/CPR.
• Minimum 3 years inpatient nursing, ED, or critical care.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers as the primary contact among facilities and hospital teams.
• Manage bed planning and throughput to optimize system capacity.
• Facilitate communication with stakeholders to address placement needs.
• Support capacity management by monitoring near-capacity areas with staff.
• Complete intake documentation and maintain compliance with standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
