Job summary

UC Health is hiring a full-time Bed Board and Transfer Center Coordinator for the Day Shift at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. This role supports the ER and Level III Trauma Center with patient movement and efficient bed management.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to prioritize transfers, coordinate with physicians and nursing staff, and ensure timely admissions and departures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of equivalent customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers and bed assignments to optimize throughput.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and transport to ensure timely transfers.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Serve as the point of contact for bed management and admission planning.
• Support the transfer center's daily operations and process improvements.
• Communicate admission information to nursing staff within 30 minutes of arrival.
• Respond to high call volumes with calm, effective problem solving.
• Uphold UC Health PRIIDE values in daily interactions.
