Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Patient Flow Coordinator, RN (PFC, RN) to join our ICC team. The role requires autonomous nursing practice, coordination across departments, and providing direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The position features 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday requirements. Ideal candidates hold a BSN, Illinois RN license, BLS, and at least two years of RN experience, with preferred emergency department/urgent care exposure and Epic charting

Qualifications

• BSN required and nursing license in Illinois.
• BLS certification and current RN license.
• Minimum two years RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment per OSHA.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document in medical records.
• Provide direct patient care including phlebotomy and medication administration.
• Communicate with care teams and coordinate patient care across departments.
• Triage calls and prioritize patient needs using clinical judgment.
• Coordinate patient education and staff support as needed.
