Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Flow Coordinator, RN, to join our ICC operations. This role emphasizes autonomous practice, coordination of patient flow, and collaboration across departments in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a BSN, active IL RN license, and two+ years of RN experience, with weekend and holiday shifts included. Responsibilities include thorough nursing assessments, phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs, and charting in Epic.

Qualifications

• BSN and Illinois RN license required.
• Minimum two years RN experience.
• Current IL RN license and BLS certification.
• National certification in specialty area encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with OSHA and hospital policies.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document in the medical record.
• Provide direct patient care including phlebotomy, med administration, and vital signs.
• Coordinate patient flow and communication between clinical and administrative teams.
• Triage calls and schedule, communicate care plans with patients via MyChart or phone.
