Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based nursing care at one of our Jersey Shore Medical Center locations. The role emphasizes safe, patient-centered care and collaboration with the care team.

The ideal candidate holds a New Jersey RN license, with at least 6 months of nursing experience or involvement in the Nurse Residency program. BLS/CPR is required; ACLS/PALS and CNOR are preferred.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Registered Nurse license required.
• Minimum 6 months nursing experience or participation in HMH Nurse Residency program.
• Minimum 1 year OR nursing experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred; CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based policies and standards to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families and care team about status and plans.
• Administer medications with bar-scanning to ensure safety.
• Document patient assessments and plans in real time at the point of care.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate safe discharge planning across multidisciplinary teams.
