Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The RN will use evidence-based practices, coordinate with the care team, and utilize bar-scanning tech for safe medication delivery.

We offer a transparent starting rate and a comprehensive benefits package. Qualified candidates will have NJ RN license, BLS/CPR, ACLS, and nursing residency or 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS required.
• Minimum of 6 months nursing experience or active participation in HMH Nurse Residency program.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong teamwork, and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards to ensure safe, excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery of meds.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluation.
• Patient and family-centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
