Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to identify patient health alterations, assess responses to health problems, and implement interventions based on nursing theory to optimize outcomes.

The RN will supervise licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel, delegate care when appropriate, and coordinate care with other disciplines to support patient advocacy and safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred at time of hire or within three years after start
• Current Florida RN license is required
• Professional nursing board certification preferred upon hire or as applicable

Responsibilities

• Identify patient health alterations and assess responses to health problems
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions
• Supervise/coordinate care provided by LPNs and UAPs
• Delegate tasks to qualified team members as appropriate
• Coordinate care with other disciplines to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
