Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to identify patient health changes, assess responses, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions. The RN will evaluate outcomes and involve the patient and family in planning and evaluation, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team and supervising support staff as needed.

Qualified candidates should hold an active Florida RN license, with a BSN and professional nursing board certification preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN and professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire.
• All nurses hired after April 30, 2014 without a BSN will be required to obtain a BSN within three years of hire.
• All nurses hired after June 30, 2011 without a professional nursing board certification will be required to obtain a professional nursing board certification after two years of hire or at the certification eligibility date for those certifications requiring more than two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient health alterations and assess responses to health problems.
• Implement nursing interventions based on nursing theory and related sciences.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Coordinate care with families and other healthcare professionals and supervise team members as needed.
